My photographic practice centres around the LGBT experience. Focusing primarily on identity, politics, and community, I capture people's gaze. Aiming to disturb societal norms and reinforce an authentic view on the queer experience. I have always approached the form of creation from a combination of documentary and activist perspectives. To create with the intent of archiving ensures that I keep myself accountable, my work remains honest, truthful, and raw. Activism is another key foundation of my practice. It helps anchor the work by shaping its purpose and direction. It enables me to channel my own lived experiences into my pieces with the hopes of contributing to a wider conversation while encouraging social change.
